Melissa J. Jacobs was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 27, 1966. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in 1988. She obtained her JD degree from Nova Southeastern University, cum laude, in 1992. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1992 and is a member in good standing.

Ms. Jacobs joined the firm in 1997 and became a partner in 2004. She practices exclusively in the area of Family Law, including complex dissolution of marriage matters, custody, paternity, and premarital, post marital and marital settlement agreements.

Ms. Jacobs was listed a Top Up & Comer by the South Florida Legal Guide in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and is a member of The First Family Law American Inns of Court.
